The First Burn is the Most Important!

 

Allow the wax to melt at least 1-2 hours to the edges of the jar to prevent tunneling and help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle's life. Candles have a "memory", so the first few burns will influence how it burns later.

Never leave a lit candle unattended and Do Not burn your candle for too long. Try to avoid burning candles for more than three hours in one sitting.

Trim the candle wick after each burn to 5 mm long to prevent the flame from being too high and your candle from burning too quickly. This will help to encourage a more even burn, steady flame, and limit mushrooming and sooting.
